Special Education/Title I Teacher

The position is a half-time Special Education position and half-time Title 1 teacher position. The special education duties will include writing and implementing Individual Education Plans, administering assessments to determine special education eligibility, and teaching special education students. The Title 1 teaching duties will include reinforcing basic education skills to include reading, language arts, math, social studies, and science in a school environment. This position is open until filled.

Speech Language Pathologist Position in Sturgis
We are currently looking for a speech/language pathologist for the Meade County School District. Meade School District 46-1 is located in Sturgis, SD, which lies in the northeastern portion of the Black Hills with biking, hiking and mountainous camping. The district’s total population is 2,500. Caseload average is 40-45 students. Title I Teacher
The individual hired for this position will reinforce basic education skills with students in the areas of math, English, science and social studies.  This position requires certification to teach either math or English in the state of South Dakota.  The ideal candidate would be certified in both math and English.   Excellent math skills and the ability to teach both upper and lower level math is essential.  This is a year round teaching position in a juvenile corrections facility and the individual hired may be required to work at both STAR Academy campuses.  The starting salary is $15.44/hour with a full benefit package.
