The Pierre office of Black Hills Special Services is seeking qualified applicants for a FT position working collaboratively with educators, vocational rehabilitation staff, adult service providers, students with disabilities, and their families in east-central South Dakota. Position develops and distributes best practices; provides guidance in the areas of student leadership, self-advocacy, self-determination, and planning for employment, college, or continuing education; and coordinates regional and statewide events.
Degree in education, human services or related field preferred. Applicant must possess effective skills to communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to work with others to achieve common goals and respond to change with creative solutions. Position located in central SD. Moderate travel required. Supportive and flexible work environment. Starting salary $38,000 DOE. Health, Life and Dental insurance, retirement, vacation and sick leave. Open until filled.
